Distribution
Endemism
South African endemic
Provincial distribution
Northern Cape
Range
This species is endemic to the Northern Cape, where it occurs between Nieuwoudtville, Calvinia and Williston.

Description
It occurs on clay flats between dolerite ridges.
Threats
Historically, this species has lost about 20% of its habitat to crop fields. There is no significant ongoing loss of habitat as the area where it occurs is only marginally suited to crop cultivation. It is however potentially threatened by sporadic further loss, as well as habitat degradation due to overgrazing.
