Threats
Most collections are from Worcester and the Little Karoo, where some subpopulations on lower slopes and flats are threatened by habitat loss to urban expansion and crop cultivation. Subpopulations in rocky crevices on steep slopes are however unlikely to be threatened. This species is likely to be overlooked elsewhere within its range, rather than rare, and unlikely to be declining to extinction.
