Description
It occurs in moderate to high-altitude sandstone fynbos.
Threats
Escaped seedlings from timber plantations are spreading into this taxon's habitat at two locations, and may outcompete native species if left unmanaged.
Population

This taxon is known from five scattered localities in the Wemmershoek, Jonkershoek and Kogelberg mountains. It is possibly overlooked and more common than records suggest.
