Salsola is in need of taxonomic revision. Species are poorly defined and difficult to separate. Based on currently available data, the risk of extinction of this species cannot be assessed.

Population

This species is only known from the type collection, dating from 1963. It has not been possible to match any further collections to this taxon, due to taxonomic confusion within Salsola.
