Justification
This species is known from the type collection from 1873. It has not been found despite exhaustive searches on the Nardousberg type locality and throughout the Sneeuberg. Nardousberg grassland habitat is threatened by grazing and burning, making this species chance of survival small.

This species is known from a single collection made on Nardousberg near Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Description
The habitat of this species is unknown, but the biome of the mountain is grassland with rocky outcrops and dolerite cliffs.
Threats
This species has not been collected for over 140 years. Nardousberg grassland habitat has been degraded by overburning and livestock grazing.
Population

This species has not been collected since 1873 and is likely to have been a naturally rare species which has been lost to habitat degradation. There has been extensive targeted searches made for this species but it has not been found.
