Description
This montane grassland species is found along stream sides and river banks, at an altitudinal range of between 1500--1600 m.
Threats
As many localities are in protected areas, there are no immediate threats, but outside these areas, it is threatened by the destruction of grassland by overgrazing and ploughing.
Population

It is locally common and abundant where it occurs. Population trend is stable.
