Justification
Othonna quinqueradiata is a very poorly known species. The genus Othonna is in need of revision, and Harvey (1894) suggests that it may be insufficiently distinct from Othonna arborescens. Manning and Goldblatt (2012) do not include this species in their conspectus of the Cape Flora.
