Justification
This habitat specialist is restricted to the scarp forest in KwaZulu-Natal, and has an area of occupancy (AOO) of 12 km². It is currently known from three locations, and not in danger of extinction. It is therefore listed nationally as Rare and qualifies under the IUCN 3.1. Criteria as Least Concern.

Description
It grows in the full shade of the forest on steep east and south facing slopes, among boulders.
Threats
There are no significant threats to this species.
Population
