Justification
This species appears to have a restricted range in Limpopo with its current recorded extent of occurrence (EOO) being 42 km² but it is likely under collected and to occur more widely in the Wolkberg Mountain range. It is known from only three sub populations and has no threats. It therefore qualifies under the IUCN 3.1. Criteria for listing Least Concern, nationally it is listed as a restricted range Rare species.

There are no threats to this species, as it grows in habitats that are not impacted by anthropogenic uses.
Population

This species is known from four herbarium specimen records and it was last collected 35 years ago in Wolkberg Area. The population trend is not known, and monitoring and field surveys are required.
