Description | It grows on sandy soil on riverbanks, along evergreen and riverine forest margins or Miombo woodland, often in secondary or disturbed places, and next to streams in river forests. |
Threats |
Two subpopulations are threatened by competition from invasive alien species (Matatiele and Mzinto). The Mzinto subpopulation is additionally threatened by habitat degradation due to too frequent fires and habitat loss due to agricultural crops. |
