Threats
This species appears to be extremely rare, and has not been relocated on Table Mountain since 1933, despite the area being very well explored. It may be that heavy use of the mountain for recreational and hiking purposes has caused degradation of this species' habitat. It may also be sensitive to drought and changes in the water table due to water extraction. The species has been recently found in the Kogelberg, a protected area where there appears to be no threats.
