Justification
This rare, localized species was discovered in 2009 in the Great Winterberg mountains. It is currently known from a single collection, and the population is not suspected to be declining and it is not threatened. Therefore it is assessed as under South Africa's national red list criteria as Rare but qualifies as Least Concerned under the Global IUCN Red List criteria.

There are no known threats to this species.
