Justification
This Namaqualand endemic has a highly restricted range, with an area of occupancy (AOO) of 4 km², and the population is very small and localised. It is threatened by severe overgrazing from livestock. The population trend is inferred to be declining. It is therefore listed as Critically Endangered under criterion B.

Description
It is confined to high altitudes, on south slopes among rocks.
Threats
This species is threatened by ongoing degradation due to overgrazing, but its preference for rocky soils may offer it some protection against erosion and trampling.
Population

This species has a highly restricted distribution. It is known from a single collection and about 100 individuals were observed. The population trend is not known, but is inferred to be declining due to severe current land-use (livestock overgrazing).
