Dracosciadium saniculifolium is a highly localized (EOO 1 km²) habitat specialist, but not threatened.

This species is endemic to the Northern KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg, where it occurs at Sentinel Peak and surrounds.

Description
It occurs in seeps at the base of steep, east-facing, basalt slopes in montane grassland, 2200-3000 m.
Threats
There are no severe threats to this species.
Population

This extremely localized species is known from a single, small subpopulation, scattered along the summit ridge between the Sentinel Peak and Basuto Gate. The population is not suspected to be declining.
