Justification
A species known from two disjunct mountain ranges, it has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 890 km². There are between seven and 10 locations, with at least three of them currently experiencing ongoing decline in habitat quality as a result of invasive alien vegetation. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion B.

This species occurs on the Langeberg and Rooiberg mountains in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

Description
It grows on sandstone slopes in fynbos.
Threats
The habitat of the Tradouw Pass subpopulation and the subpopulation occurring on the foothills of the Langeberg above Swellendam is being heavily altered by invasive alien plants.
Population

The population is inferred to be declining due to slow but ongoing habitat loss and degradation as a result of alien plant invasions.
