Justification | This species occurs in naturally disjunct subpopulations over a large range and has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 15 132 km². It is known in more than 20 locations. There have been many observations made of this species over the past 15 years, which is an indication that it is not as rare as was previously thought. Many more, as yet undiscovered, subpopulations are likely to exist. It is a resprouter that occurs in small, isolated stands. The spread of invasive alien plants is causing some habitat quality decline, but the population at this stage has not been documented to be declining. It is therefore listed as Least Concern. |
