Justification
A range-restricted species with an extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) of 16 km². The population is conserved in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, known only from this location, where it is potentially threatened by invasive alien vegetation. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criterion D2.
Distribution
Endemism
South African endemic
Provincial distribution
Western Cape
Range
This restricted endemic is found only on the Rooielsberg and Buffelstalberg, in the western section of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

Major habitats
Kogelberg Sandstone Fynbos
Description
This species grows among rocks and rocky outcrops in fynbos, 200-300 m.
Threats
It is plausible that the population may become threatened by Hakea sericea and Pinus pinaster since these two invasive woody alien plant species are currently present within the section of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve where this species is restricted.
Population

There are only two subpopulations known, one grows on the Rooielsberg and the second on the Buffelstalberg. There are 10 observations of this species on iNaturalist that have been made in the past four years indicating that the population is likely stable at present.
