Justification
This Swartberg Mountains endemic is rare and highly localized, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) <10 km². Its habitat is well protected, and it is not in danger of extinction. It therefore qualifies for listing as Critically Rare nationally and qualifies under the IUCN 3.1. criteria as Least Concern.

Threats
This species' habitat is protected and it has no threats.
Population

This species is known from two localised subpopulations. The size and trend of the population is not known, but it is not suspected to be declining.
