Description
It occurs on moist mountain slopes in fynbos, 1000-1200 m.
Threats
There are no severe threats to this species. Most of its habitat is well-protected. Alien invasive plants are present in low densities in parts of its range. It does not pose a significant threat at present, but may become a threat in future if left unmanaged. A small part of its habitat on the southern slopes of the Langeberg has been converted to timber plantations, but plantations are no longer expanding and therefore this threat has ceased.
Population

Bobartia parva is widespread and common across a large area of the Langeberg. As there are no severe threats, the population is not suspected to be declining.
