Justification
This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 5466 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 96 km². It is known from at least 15 subpopulations, and is not threatened as its habitat is non-arable. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

This species is endemic to South Africa, and is found in the Calvinia District in the Northern Cape, from Hantamsberg and Bloukrans Pass westward to near Nieuwoudtville and south to Tankwa National Park.

Description
It occurs on dolerite outcrops often growing in rock crevices in dolerite pavement.
Threats
This species has no threats. It has lost only 6% of its habitat in the past to crop cultivation (calculated using landcover data in GIS). Loss to cultivation is no longer ongoing.
Population

It is known from more than fifteen subpopulations and is not declining.
