Justification | This species has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 747 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 20 km². It is known from four locations, which are not threatened. It is therefore listed under the IUCN 3.1 Criteria, globally, as Least Concern but is nationally categorised as Rare. |

Range | It is endemic to South Africa, and is a montane species occurring at high elevations. It is found in the mountains of Western Cape, from the Hex River Mountains and Keeromsberg south to the Riviersonderend and Groot Drakenstein Mountains. |
