Justification
This is a habitat specialist that has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 3 654 km², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 32 km². It is known from seven subpopulations but it is not threatened. It is therefore listed as Least Concern.

It is endemic to South Africa, and is found in the mountains of Western Cape, from Pakhuis Pass in the north to the Cold Bokkeveld and Swartruggens and locally in the Piketberg in the south.

Description
It occurs in shallow, seasonally moist soils, usually among rocks.
Threats
This high altitude montane species has no known threats.

It is known from seven locations, however, there is no indication of this species' population size. The population is stable.
