Justification | A Roggeveld endemic known only form one location (extent of occurrence 8.5 km²). This species has lost habitat to crop cultivation and remaining habitat is experiencing ongoing degradation as a result of livestock overgrazing and drought. It therefore qualifies as Critically Endangered under criterion B. |

| There has been extensive transformation at the only known location for cereal cultivation. Remaining areas of renosterveld are threatened by livestock grazing and increasing frequency of drought as a result of climate change. |

There is no information available about the size of the population, there have only been two collections of this species one in 1930 and again in 1998.
