Justification
This species has a limited geographic range in the Eastern Cape Province, with an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 12 850 km². It was previously thought to be rare, but recent field observations show that it is common in low cliffs. As a result, it is assessed as Least Concern.

This montane species is found in Renosterberg near Lootsberg station in the Upper Karoo of the Eastern Cape.

Description
It is found above low cliffs on a stony sandstone plateau.
Threats
There are no known threats to this species.

Field observations indicate that this species is common in Sneeuberg with one record in Stormberg. The population is stable.
